This jumpsuit went so viral, I just had to try it for myself — and it didn’t disappoint

It's comfy, stretchy and actually creates a flattering shape.

As a travel writer, it's not uncommon for me to visit 25 countries on five continents in one year. The only people I know who travel more often are flight attendants. That's why when I read about this $27 jumpsuit flight attendants are obsessed with, I immediately wondered if it warranted a spot in my suitcase, too.

OK, so I've never owned a jumpsuit before. However, I recently became a huge fan of rompers, so I figured a jumpsuit is basically the same thing, but with pants. Plus, hundreds of flight attendants couldn't be wrong — could they?

Why I love this jumpsuit

Shoppers rave about it

With a 4.3-star average rating from more than 52,600 verified reviews, it's unsurprising that the jumpsuit is ranked in the top ten on Amazon's list of "Bestsellers in Women's Jumpsuits," and averages around 900+ purchases each month.

It comes in 32 colors (I'm obsessed with the navy shade) and is available in sizes small through 3XL. At 5' 4'' and 115 pounds, I went with the small. The fit is perfect, offering a comfortable amount of room without looking baggy. The waist is elastic and also features a drawstring, which creates a flattering shape.

Hands down, my favorite features are the two front pockets. I never know where to place my hands when taking photos, but I can avoid awkward-looking poses while wearing this one-piece thanks to its practically placed compartments.

This jumpsuit — which is a viscose, spandex and polyester blend — also comes in a sleeveless style. However, I chose the off-the-shoulder fit since flight attendants rave about how easy it is to slip in and out of without undoing the cute keyhole button in the back. (And if you've worn a jumpsuit before, you know this is a great feature for anyone who has a small bladder and frequents the restroom often.)

It feels like sweats but looks fashionable

The first time I put this jumpsuit on, I was planning on going out for dinner with a friend. The material felt so comfortable that I was tempted to cancel my plans and stay home. My mind was playing tricks on me because I was dressed in something that I'd normally wear for lounging around the house. My sight, however, was telling me I looked stylish enough to go out.

In fact, I've worn this jumpsuit to a couple of business meetings. I could have went with a traditional pantsuit, but I felt confident this piece was business-casual enough for a professional setting. I didn't even need to iron or steam it! I paired it with my favorite OluKai sandals, but there's always the option to dress it up even more with heels and some elegant jewelry.

What else are off-duty flight attendants wearing?

Sadly, I can count the flight attendants I know on one hand. I probably don't make friends with them because I sleep on most flights. (I can't remember the last time I was even awake for drink service.) But after getting this jumpsuit, I've realized that I need to get to know more flight attendants, even if it's just to find out what they're wearing when they're not flying the friendly skies.

Like me, they're limited to what they can pack. Unlike me, they spend most of their time in uniforms. So, I'm sure when they get to dress themselves, they want clothing that is extra comfortable but also meets their fashion tastes — and this jumpsuit definitely lives up to those standards.
