Drew Barrymore was showered with love on her 50th birthday, including by her daughters.
Barrymore turned 50 on Saturday, Feb. 22, and was surprised with several gifts from her two daughters, Olive and Frankie, during the Feb. 21 episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
During the episode, the actor and host received two birthday cakes that were designed and decorated by her daughters. Each cake was accompanied by a touching letter written by her children, chock full of sentimental statements about their mom on her special day.
As Barrymore started to read the letters, she choked up.
"Can you read it?" a guest on her show asked.
"No," she said, sounding emotional.
Frankie, 10, started her handwritten letter by wishing her mom a happy birthday, before adding, “Can you believe it! 50 years of being the most fabuless kindest person on earth!”
“And 12 years of being the most caring loving mom,” she added. “I love you so much! Best birthday wishes — Frankie.”

While Frankie took an overall sweet approach to her note, Barrymore’s 12-year-old daughter, Olive, added a bit of humor to hers.
“Dear mother, Not in my 12 years of living have I found a mother as wonderful as you…the serch goes on (I spelt search wrong didn’t I?)” she began her letter. “Anyways, do you know the saying ‘Only fate picks its favorites.’ If I were fate, I think we all know who my favorite would be.”
Olive continued her message, adding, “But truly you are such a big part of my life, you have taught me crutial life lessons and how to be a good girl.
“Now I’m trying to keep it short because Frankie probably just wrote a giant HAPPY BIRTHDAY,” she concluded the note. “But I just want you to know I love you and Happy 50th Birthday!!! Or happy annual rotation of the sun. xx Olive.”

Barrymore’s birthday celebration didn’t stop there.
On her show, it was announced that she was getting her own Pantone color called “The Drew Barrymore Yellow,” which left the actor in shock in a clip shared on Instagram.
Barrymore was also surprised by Rachel Dratch, who presented the actor with the Guinness World Record for the youngest person to host “Saturday Night Live,” as well as a reunion with the Ward family, whom she lived with while she filmed “Firestarter” when she was 8.
During the show, she went on to receive personal videos from friends Adam Sandler and Cameron Diaz to wish her a happy birthday, plus an emotional tribute from her “Never Been Kissed” co-star Molly Shannon.
“What you made of your life and how you treat people and who you are is like no one else,” Shannon told Barrymore. “You are one of a kind and so genuine, I love you so much.”
