Air safety takes spotlight amid string of recent plane crashes

Many flyers are on edge after a series of unrelated plane crashes including the midair collision in Washington, D.C., the medevac crash in Philadelphia and now a Delta flight flipping upside down during a crash landing in Toronto. While the recent incidents appear to be coincidental, the U.S. is still short some 3,000 to 4,000 air traffic controllers with many working mandatory overtime. NBC’s Tom Costello reports for TODAY.
